After 14 years of setting up and managing an Estate Planning service for a nationwide financial planning firm, I was recently inspired to join 1825 due to its ethos of providing a fully comprehensive and holistic approach to client needs.
As a qualified Society of Trust and Estate Planning (STEP) member, I am experienced in a wide range of tax and trust matters and have a particular passion for ensuring that clients have peace of mind by putting a plan into place to manage their affairs for when they are no longer able to do so themselves.
In my free time, I enjoy a busy home life with my husband and four children. Our favourite way to spend a weekend afternoon is having a barbecue on the beach, English weather permitting!

Following a 15 year career in personal tax compliance, I moved to a highly successful legal Private Client team in 2010 and into my current role in August 2017. My role is advisory, specialising in estate planning particularly to high net wealth families, but covering all other tax areas including Capital Gains Tax. I also provide advice surrounding drafting Wills and Powers of Attorney as I hold the STEP qualification. I have also written tax articles for both in-house and external publications.
I qualified as a Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) in 2008 and also hold the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) qualification.
I qualified as a Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) in December 2012 with the Society of Trust and Estate Practioners (Scotland) (STEP) and received a STEP Advanced Certificate in UK Tax for International Clients in July 2013.
I really enjoy working with my clients to help them with their Private Client affairs and I feel that my experience in various sectors allows me to bring the best bits from both accountancy and a legal perspective to be able to provide them with a full Private Client service.

I've been doing Private Client work for 12 years now so I know how many important and sometimes difficult decisions people have to make. Whether it's making sure they don't pay more tax than they should, deciding how to protect and leave behind what they've worked hard for, or who will help to look after their affairs if they can't for any reason - I enjoy enabling people to make these decisions. So I'm delighted to head up the team of tax, trust, probate and succession planning specialists at 1825.
When I'm not in the office, I enjoy a hectic life with my husband that's centred around our two little girls and occasionally treating myself to a glass of wine while watching a good box set.
