Services

to suit you

We’re here to help you make the right decisions about your finances.

We know that one size doesn’t fit all, so we offer a range of services to give you choice in how you want us to work together.

Getting started with initial advice

Our initial advice service is designed to get you set up with a financial plan you can be confident with. This is all about listening to you, considering your priorities, and finding the best way to work towards your goals.

We’ll always be clear on the cost of our advice. Our fees will be agreed with you before any chargeable work is started and before you make any payment to us.

Example client charges – initial advice service

Your first meeting is an initial no obligation discussion about your needs and how we might help you. There is no charge for this if you choose not to take advantage of our services and you haven’t signed an engagement letter.

We use a fee-planning tool to calculate our fees, depending on the services you require. Here are some examples:

A - Advice on a plan aiming to protect you against the unexpected

B - A financial plan to help you meet your individual goals

C - A retirement income plan based on your existing savings, products and providers, income needs and tax considerations

D - Comprehensive, in-depth and tax-efficient financial planning, considering multiple products and providers

Value of investment £100,000 £250,000 £500,000 £1,000,000
Example A £1400 £1400 £1400 £1400
Example B £2325 £2800 £3300 £4300
Example C £3250 £3750 £4250 £5250
Example D £4450 £4950 £5450 £6450

In certain circumstances our fees may be subject to a VAT charge of 20%. If this is the case, we’ll let you know in advance.

Edward needs to juggle his business and a complex family situation.

He's aiming to take a step back from his business, pass it to his son and travel.

Bill and Josie are happy in their careers and are thinking about moving in to the buy-to-let market.

They want to make sure they can still provide for their kids and help with anything their partners need.

Ellen has been widowed and wants to make sure she's on top of her finances, able to pass things on to her niece and not going to leave behind a large tax bill.

Our ongoing services

Everyone has different needs, wants and circumstances. We’ve designed our services around creating suitable options for whatever situation you’re in.

Here's how each of our services might apply to these people:

Our most comprehensive service, suited to those with complex needs who want to review their situation frequently. Edward’s situation and the decisions he’s making about his future mean he might be best suited to this service because he wants to actively keep on top of his many demands.

Assets up to £500,000 1.19%
Assets up to £1.25m 1.04%

For people who want to review their financial plan every year to keep it on track. Bill and Josie may be suited to this service because they want to keep a close eye on their future goals, but their situation is not so complex that it needs to be reviewed more often.

For people who want a financial plan but have less complex needs. It may suit Ellen because she’s simply looking to set a plan in place and keep an eye on it – her circumstances are not likely to change often.

Assets up to a maximum of £200,000 1%

The tables above show the percentage charge applied on the value of your assets for each service level. As the amount we charge is linked to the value of your assets, it can go up and down over time – but we will never change the % charge applied to your assets without speaking to you.

Private Client Services

We have a team of specialists who work alongside your financial planner at both the initial advice stage and throughout your ongoing reviews, to provide a variety of services that supplement your financial plan.

Private Client Services can help you with: Ensuring you don’t pay more tax than you need to; making sure you pass on as much as possible to the people you want; making sure someone’s there to make decisions for you if you can’t; helping you set aside and protect money for those you care about; making things as easy as possible for those you care about when you’re gone.

These services are charged for separately to your financial plan, with the cost depending on how complex the work is – estimates will be provided once we’ve discussed your needs with you.
