A financial plan designed for you

We believe that using a carefully selected range of quality providers is a key ingredient regarding positive outcomes for our clients. These providers have been identified to ensure we have a comprehensive range of solutions to meet the various needs of our clients.

We can choose investment solutions and funds from across the market, which are aligned to the amount of risk you are prepared to take.

This creates a financial plan which aims to help you reach your needs, goals and objectives.

Our approach

Our financial planning is underpinned by two guiding principles:
  1. We’ll only recommend a product or investment where we believe it is the right one for you and important to achieving your financial plan.
  2. We’re pragmatic in our approach. This means we’ll choose a product or investment for you from across the market or choose from a panel of carefully selected providers depending on what we believe is the best outcome for you.

If you're new to 1825, we'll also fully consider any existing products or investments you hold when constructing your financial plan.

Choose from across the market

For certain products, suitability is highly variable based on a number of factors and can regularly change, including the price of the solution, so we’ll research the entire market to identify the best one at that time.

Choose from a panel of carefully selected providers

There are a number of core products, or tax wrappers, within the market where there are limited differences between the products available from different providers (such as Individual Savings Accounts (ISAs) or SIPP tax wrappers).

When it comes to these types of product we believe the best value for clients is in creating a panel of quality suppliers and then negotiating the best prices with them. We would then compare those solutions to what our clients currently hold, and either retain current solutions or deploy new ones from our panel as appropriate.

We have strong relationships and advise on solutions from many industry providers including Aegon, Novia, James Hay, Raymond James, Alliance Trust, Old Mutual and Fidelity. Where appropriate, we’ll select the best option for you from this list. Our panel is kept under regular review. This is defined as ‘restricted advice’ by the Financial Conduct Authority.

We believe that this approach allows us to focus more of our time with you meaning we can offer better value for money.
