Making things as easy as possible for your loved ones

Losing someone you care about will always be difficult. It can be made even harder by the work involved in administering their estate and ensuring their wishes are followed.

If you’re an executor of the estate, there can be a lot to consider and you have certain legal duties and obligations which must be fulfilled. 1825 can work with you to ensure that this is done.

How 1825 can help?

We understand that, on top of everything else, handling the legal administrative process can be overwhelming.

Our aim is to help you navigate through this process as quickly and efficiently as possible to allow you to focus on healing and dealing with your loss.

Our advice and service can include but is not limited to:

  • Valuing the estate – ascertaining the value of all assets, gifts and liabilities as at date of death;
  • Determining the inheritance tax position and arranging for any inheritance tax liability to be paid and reported to HMRC;
  • Obtaining a Grant of Probate/Grant of Confirmation – arranging for the relevant paperwork to be prepared and submitted to Court;
  • Gathering together all assets held in the estate;
  • Arranging payment of all outstanding liabilities;
  • Preparing and submitting a Trust and Estate Tax Return to HMRC;
  • Dealing with Legal Rights (Scotland only);
